Omri is a 2nd-year PhD student in the High Performance Computing Group at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. His research looks at how the communication in modern HPC clusters can be improved. He is currently working on integrating asynchronous many-task runtimes, such as PaRSEC and Legion, with the Lightweight Communication Interface that the HPC Group has developed.
